The Binetti line is a high-fashion collection aimed at the jet-setting woman of the world. Alternatively, the recently established Ilovebinetti line is for the fun, modern, career girl. Both are creations of Diego Binetti, a Buenos Aires native who, as a child, used his tiny hands to help his mother add embellishments to couture gowns. At 15, he began high fashion classes at the Institute Donato Delego in Argentina, then continued at Miami International University of Art & Design after his family moved to the coast of Florida. He also worked as an assistant to Antonio Bordonaro for fashion houses such as Bulgari and Paola Franni in Milan, where he attended classes at the Institute Marangoni. At 24, Diego landed in New York. After several years as Jill Stuart’s head designer, he founded the Binetti line in 2001, launching Ilovebinetti in 2008. Diego’s vision is unique and ever changing, with threads of the past and present. His designs place the woman in her own domain as a goddess—confident, elegant, passionate and romantic.
